Selection, rezoning for commercial site

The need

Secure the best location along the coming I-485 Outer Loop for a new commercial and residential hub in northwestern Mecklenburg County.

Our contributions

Team members conducted the site-selection process for a proposed mixed-use community that would have shopping, a hotel, car dealerships, restaurants and several hundred apartments and for-sale townhomes. Team members then successfully ushered the 131-acre site through a lengthy rezoning process that required numerous meetings with public groups, planning staff and elected officials.
